In October, 2014, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a product recall notice which affected about 4.7 million motor vehicles across our nation. The vehicle owners are strongly warned to take their motor vehicles to the dealer for immediate remedial action.
Reports indicate that this recall affects at least 700,000 Toyotas, more than 2.8 million Hondas, and 400,000 Nissan vehicles. BMW, General Motors and Mazda also have over 500,000 motor vehicles on this particular recall list. Vehicle owners can check their vehicle identification number at www.safercar.gov to be sure about a specific vehicle. The majority, but not all, of the motor vehicles at issue were manufactured in model years between 2001 and 2007.
