Hydraulic Fluids

Unfortunately, the Texas Railroad Commission has decided to allow oil and natural gas companies to keep secret their chemical recipes of the hydraulic fracturing fluids that are being used to explore and produce the shale and release natural gas.  It is our Law Firm’s belief that it is the duty of the Texas Railroad Commission to protect the citizens of this State from environmental contamination and groundwater contamination, and not to protect the interests of oil and gas companies. While a new law requires disclosure of the chemical composition of fracking fluid on a well-to-well basis, the same law contains loopholes that allow companies to withhold proprietary business information.

Advances in drilling technology have allowed energy companies to reach the vast amounts of natural gas entrapped in the Eagle Ford Shale, Haynesville Shale, Barnett Shale and Permian Shale formations underlying Texas.

Even if the government won’t require natural gas companies to disclose all the chemicals they are pumping into the ground, experienced lawyer may be able to force these oil companies to divulge their secrets when lawyers work to protect property owners who believe their water wells have been contaminated.

We are committed to aggressively fighting for the rights of homeowners and private citizens who have been harmed by hydraulic fracturing.
