Helicopters

For well over 50 years helicopters have been useful machines that can do what no other aircraft can do.  They can fly forwards, backwards, hover, descend and ascend vertically and land and takeoff without a runway. This has made the helicopter a necessity in saving lives, law enforcement, executive transport, offshore transport, sightseeing, recreation, and in the military and war arena for supply, assault, attack and medical operations. 

However, the benefits of a helicopter comes with a heavy burden.  For a helicopter is intricate, complex and fragile.  Requiring the highest levels of skill in their design, construction, maintenance and operational. If any one of these essential components are ever missing or lacking, the results are disastrous for the pilot, the occupants and their families. For what was originally designed to help our daily lives all too can lead to great harm or death.
