S. Tyler Rutherford

Attorney Tyler Rutherford is a native San Antonian. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University and continued on at St. Mary’s School of Law. After graduating Cum Laude from St. Mary’s, Rutherford opened up his own private practice and spent many years gaining experience in employment law, insurance litigation, construction law, and civil litigation. At Carabin Shaw, he now focuses on personal injury.

Attorney Rutherford says, “The best part of my job is assisting the injured and economically disadvantaged get the justice they deserve.” He also says that if had not pursued law, he would have chosen to be a social worker.

Attorney Rutherford enjoys the cultural diversity that is uniquely San Antonio. Rutherford actively supports SAMM Ministries, the Salvation Army and Doctors Without Borders. He is an avid photographer and is active in Fotosepteimbre. He enjoys cycling, open water kayaking and longboarding in his free time.
