Ms. De Leon is a native of San Benito, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended the University of Texas at Brownsville where she graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked in the biohazards and chemical engineering fields for several years before attending the St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas from 2013-2016. Ms. De Leon received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in May 2016.
While obtaining her Juris Doctor, Ms. De Leon clerked for a civil litigation firm specializing in personal injury, property, commercial, and family law. During these experiences, Ms. De Leon acquired a desire to passionately advocate for her clients and learned by practice the ins and outs of the civil litigation process.
Following her admission to the State Bar of Texas in November 2016, Ms. De Leon worked at a family law firm, then transitioned to personal injury. Prior to joining Carabin & Shaw, PC, Ms. De Leon worked for personal injury firms in San Antonio, Texas specializing in complex litigation representing plaintiffs injured in auto and trucking accidents, commercial vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, and premises liability accidents. Ms. De Leon then shifted sides and represented insurance companies defending personal injury lawsuits but quickly realized her true calling was representing individuals and families who have been harmed by the wrongdoing of others.
