Lithium-ion battery fires are difficult to extinguish.
According to a KSAT News report, the LyonsGaurd Fire Protection building was severely damaged in a fire caused by a lithium-ion battery.
The most common place for a burn injury at home
(February 15, 2023) A four-year-old girl was found dead after being trapped in a trailer that erupted into flames on Sunday, February 12, 2023, on the southwest side of Bexar County. The flames also severely burned two residents of the trailer home, as well as a firefighter and sheriff’s deputy, and two other deputies needed to be treated for smoke inhalation after rescue attempts. This tragedy is currently under investigation by the sheriff’s and fire marshal’s offices, and the identity of the young girl has not been released at this time.
