Man Killed and Children Injured in Wrong-Way Crash

A 22-year-old man is dead after being hit head-on by a wrong-way driver at around 1 a.m. on May 30, 2023, according to a San Antonio Express-News report. The 39-year-old wrong-way driver was arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter, as well as two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, and two counts of injury to a child causing bodily injury-reckless, as he had two children in the pickup with him at the time. All of them were transported to the hospital with minor injuries after the crash, and the 22-year-old died of his injuries at the hospital.

pexels-energepiccom-174936-300x225Tuesday, September 8, 2020:  The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Edinburg Sunday evening that left one girl dead and another injured.

According to the release, the accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Owassa Road between Tower Road and Val Verde Road where a woman driving a blue 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe struck two pedestrians.

The release says the woman was allegedly speeding and under the influence of alcohol and continued driving west on Owassa. She was later found near Earling and Tower roads.
