Man Killed and Children Injured in Wrong-Way Crash

A 22-year-old man is dead after being hit head-on by a wrong-way driver at around 1 a.m. on May 30, 2023, according to a San Antonio Express-News report. The 39-year-old wrong-way driver was arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter, as well as two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, and two counts of injury to a child causing bodily injury-reckless, as he had two children in the pickup with him at the time. All of them were transported to the hospital with minor injuries after the crash, and the 22-year-old died of his injuries at the hospital.

Four Children in Critical Condition, Woman Dead in High-Speed Crash

According to a Click 2 Houston news report, a 26-year-old woman is dead, and four children are in critical condition after losing control of her vehicle at around 11:30 p.m. on May 22, 2023, on I-45 in La Marque. Galveston police reported that the woman was speeding on I-45 when she struck the wall and flipped multiple times before falling off the bridge and onto the roadway below. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the four children, 3 and 6 years old, are in the hospital in critical condition. It is unclear if the children were properly buckled or in car seats at the time of the crash.

https://www.texasinjurylawyersblog.com/files/2020/03/Screen-Shot-2020-03-22-at-1.00.10-PM.pngMarch 22, 2020 Longview Texas.  A fatal car accident occurred about 9 miles northwest of Longview early Friday morning March 19th on Texas State Highway 300 near East Mountain.  The collision happened when a northbound pickup truck driven by Aaron Barbosa-Valerio (23) crossed into the path of of a southbound SUV driven by Rucker Steven Murry (65).  State trooper investigations concluded that Barbosa-Valerio was traveling too fast for the rainy conditions that morning and lost control of his vehicle.

Murry was taken to the Longview Regional Medical Center in serious condition, his passenger Cynthia Browne Murry (66) was pronounced dead at the scene.  Barbosa-Valerio was also injured and transported to a local hospital, his condition is unknown.
