Spa Crafters Warehouse Fire Prompts Street Evacuation, No Injuries Reported
According to a KSAT News report, a warehouse fire on San Antonio’s North Side caused immense black smoke and significant damage yesterday.
SAFD responded to the fire at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Spa Crafters in the 2600 block of North Loop 1604 East. The warehouse behind the building caught fire, and it spread to multiple cars and parts of the main building before fire crews were able to extinguish it. The neighborhood street directly behind the warehouse was evacuated as a precaution. SAFD said no one in the area reported breathing issues, and HAZMAT crews did not detect any harmful chemical runoff in the area. Loop 1604 near Gold Canyon and Redline Roads was closed for several hours as a result of the blaze. Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
