Suspect Dead in Fatal Rollover Accident Caused by Road Rage
According to a KSAT News report, a 48-year-old man is dead after causing a rollover accident in a road rage incident on the South Side.
Police reported the incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 15th, on the Southeast Loop 410 access road just before Roosevelt Avenue. Two men were having an argument in the Poteet Flea Market for unknown reasons when they eventually left in separate vehicles. That is when police say the 48-year-old man intentionally bumped into the other man’s vehicle multiple times before causing a rollover accident, trying to stop the fleeing vehicle with a PIT maneuver. The 48-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead upon arrival. He was the only one in his vehicle.
The victims, a 38-year-old man and his two children (9 and 14), were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
