JoyJolt™ Coffee Mugs Recalled After Multiple Injuries Reported

According to a Consumer Product Safety Commission report, multiple injuries led to a massive recall of glass coffee cups.

The affected product is the JoyJolt Drinkware Declan Single-Wall Glass Coffee Mugs, sold on Amazon and the company website as sets of six 16oz cups between September 2019 and May 2022. The model number is JG10242, which can be found on the box and in the order confirmation. Legal Help for Laceration Injury in San Antonio

Laceration injuries can happen for many reasons, whether accidental or intentional.

Usually, a laceration injury is superficial and will fully heal. However, severe lacerations can penetrate nerves and cause extreme damage that can significantly impact the victim’s life.

You may be able to recover compensation for a laceration injury if it was caused by someone else’s negligent actions.

What Causes Laceration Injuries?

A laceration is a blunt-force trauma injury that results in the tearing of soft tissue. It can happen from almost any kind of accident, including:

  • Slip-and-Fall Accidents,
  • Car Accidents,
  • Motorcycle Accidents,
  • Pedestrian Accidents,
  • Dog Attacks,
  • Bicycle Accidents,
  • Workplace Accidents,
  • Boating Accidents,
  • Construction Site Accidents,
  • Defective Products,
  • And More.

Can You Sue for a Laceration Injury?

If negligence caused your laceration injury, you may be eligible to receive compensation for it through a personal injury claim or lawsuit.

Negligence is established by proving the following elements:

  1. Another party owed you a duty of care,
  2. That party violated their duty,
  3. That violation of duty caused your laceration injury,
  4. You suffered loss as a result.

For example, let’s say you suffer a laceration injury because you were hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light. If that driver is found to be at fault for the accident, you can file a personal injury claim for your laceration injury.

Do I Need a Lawyer for My Laceration Injury?

You should hire an attorney for your laceration injury if any of the following is true:

  • You have incurred significant damages,
  • The insurance company is minimizing or dismissing your claim,
  • You suffered a severe laceration resulting in surgery,
  • You suffered long-term consequences (scarring, disability, or loss of function),
  • Liability is being disputed,
  • Or you require ongoing medical treatment or rehab.

In any of the above scenarios, having an attorney to negotiate on your behalf is critical. You may be eligible for compensation for things like:

  • Ambulance Costs,
  • Medical Bills,
  • ER Treatment,
  • Disfigurement,
  • Lost Work,
  • Loss of Earning Capacity,
  • Lost Benefits,
  • And More.
